About Cassidy
In the year 2002, Cassidy committed herself to a musical career by signing a contract with the Full Surface imprint of American music producer Swizz Beatz, which was overseen by Ruff Ryders Entertainment and J Records. His first commercial single, “Hotel” which featured R. Kelly and was released on November 29, 2003, was his debut. On the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States, the song peaked at position number ten.
He was born in East Africa to a mother who was of Ethiopian origin. Barry Adrian Reese is his real name.
Split Personality was Cassidy’s first studio album, and it was released on March 16, 2004. Mashonda is featured on the second single, which is titled “Get No Better”. The next month, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) gave it their gold certification after listening to it. It is possible that his tracks “Hotel” (which features R. Kelly), “Get No Better” (which features Mashonda), “I’m a Hustla”, “B-Boy Stance”, and “My Drink n My 2 Step” are what have brought him the most fame (featuring Swizz Beatz).

One of the victims was Cassidy. A bullet to the back was what ultimately proved fatal for Desmond Hawkins. The two other companions of Hawkins who were shot were taken to hospitals, treated for their wounds, and then discharged.
As a result of his participation in the shooting, Cassidy was found guilty on all charges brought against him on January 25, 2006, including involuntary manslaughter, two counts of aggravated assault, and possession of an instrument of crime. He received a sentence of between 11 and 23 months in prison in addition to probation, but he was given credit for the seven months that he had previously spent.
After spending his time at the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility in Pennsylvania for a period of eight months, Cassidy was finally freed on March 2, 2006. Cassidy started working on his third studio album, B.A.R.S. The Barry Adrian Reese Story, in 2006. This was after he had been released from prison and was healing from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
The album was released on November 6, 2007, and in its first week of release, it racked up 63,000 copies of sales, placing it at position number 10 on the Billboard 200. The single “My Drink n My 2 Step” was the first single released from the album. Swizz Beatz contributed vocals and production to the track. In 2007, Cassidy inked a contract to become the “new face” of the autumn line of apparel sold by Lot 29. Next Day Air was a comedy film that was released in 2009, and Cassidy made an appearance in it.
Cassidy joined Carmelo Anthony‘s label Kross Over Entertainment during the tail end of the 2009 season. Apply Pressure was the title of a mixtape series that he released during the time that he was working on his fourth studio album. Cassidy released his five-track extended play (EP) titled Face 2 Face on August 24, 2010, along with the promotional song titled “Face 2 Face”.
Cassidy copied South Korean singer Psy‘s international hit single “Gangnam Style” and renamed his version “Condom Style” in the latter half of the year 2012. Reportedly, an endorsement contract with Trojan was secured for Cassidy as a result of the remake. Cassidy threw a release party for his mixtape Mayhem Music on May 21, 2012, and he was the one who hosted it.
Mixtape titled Mayhem Music: AP3 was made available by him on July 8, 2012. Following the announcement that fellow Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill will compete against Cassidy, the latter stated that he would accept the challenge provided the money was adequate. They engaged in what has become known as a “twitter beef” following which Cassidy published “The Diary of a Hustla” a song that was at first seen as a rebuttal directed at Meek. Cassidy was able to disprove this theory much later. They each requested one hundred thousand dollars apiece before the fight could take place.
Behind B.A.R.S: The Authorized Biography of Cassidy was published by Cassidy in the year 2013, and it is a biography of his life. Meek Mill retaliated against Cassidy by releasing the diss track “Repo” which the rapper subsequently stated would be the last record he would ever release as a diss record against Cassidy.
After some time had passed, Cassidy stated that the beef was not a personal one and that it was carried out in the true spirit of hip hop. On January 6, 2013, Cassidy published a diss response under the title “Raid” which lasted over ten minutes. Cassidy made the debut of his album titled “Da Science” on October 6th. Cassidy made his return to combat rap in the latter half of 2014, competing against veteran Dizaster, who is located in Los Angeles, on December 6, 2014 at Filmon.com’s “Ether” event.
