About Nicole Brown Simpson
When Brown was 18 years old and working as a server at the Daisy, an exclusive club in Beverly Hills, she was introduced to the American football player O. J. Simpson. At the time, Brown was dating O. J. Simpson. They started dating when Simpson was still married to his first wife, Marguerite, who was expecting their daughter Aaren at the time. During this time, Marguerite was carrying their daughter. The divorce between Simpson and Marguerite was finalized in March of 1979.
Simpson called it quits in the professional football league five years before his wedding to Brown, which took place on February 2, 1985. Their union lasted for seven years, and during that time they welcomed two children into the world: Sydney and Justin.
Brown was named after his father. Her mother was of German descent, her father came from the United States. When she first arrived in the United States, she enrolled at Rancho Alamitos High School in Garden Grove, which is located in the state of California. In 1976, she received her diploma from Dana Hills High School, which is located in Dana Point, California. She was a devout follower of Roman Catholicism till her death.
During the course of their marriage, Simpson was abusive to Brown physically. Simpson allegedly yelled out the following during an altercation that took place on New Year’s Day in the year 1989. Brown made several calls to the police to report Simpson’s assault, and Simpson was only arrested once, in 1989, after which he pled no contest to the charge of domestic violence against Brown. Brown, however, dropped the charges against Simpson after her parents allegedly encouraged her to reconcile with him. This was due to the fact that Simpson offered her father the opportunity to invest in a lucrative Hertz dealership, which was financially beneficial for the Brown family. Brown ultimately decided to drop the charges.
On February 25, 1992, Brown submitted a petition for divorce, citing insurmountable differences as the reason. Simpson disclosed to Brown at the time of their divorce that he had been having an affair with Tawny Kitaen, an affair that had been going on for one year and during which he had given her expensive jewelry. The affair came to a stop in 1989 when Kitaen married David Coverdale.
Brown was stabbed to death at her home in Los Angeles on June 12, 1994, two years after her divorce from Simpson. Her friend, waiter Ron Goldman, was also present at the time of her murder. O. J. Simpson, who had a history of physically abusing Brown and making death threats toward him, was arrested and accused of both homicides. Both murders were found to have been committed by O. J. Simpson. Simpson was found not guilty of all counts following a contentious and widely covered criminal trial. The trial had evidence connecting Simpson to the murders, but he was found not guilty of all charges. In a civil case that was brought against him in 1997, it was determined that he was responsible for both deaths.
The prosecution of O.J. Simpson centered on the deaths of both Ronald Brown and Ronald Goldman. After a public trial that lasted nearly nine months and showed both circumstantial and physical evidence that Simpson had killed both victims, he was acquitted in October 1995, despite the fact that the verdict was met with widespread outrage. In a legal case that was brought in 1997 by Fred Goldman, Ron Goldman’s father, a jury determined that Fred Goldman was responsible for the unjust deaths of Brown and Ron Goldman and awarded the Goldman family a total of $33.5 million in damages. In 2008, Simpson was sentenced to prison for an unrelated armed robbery that he committed at a hotel in Las Vegas.
