About Michael Beach
The role of Angela Bassett‘s cheating husband in the comedy-drama film Waiting to Exhale, which Beach played in 1995, was Beach’s major break in the industry. In the comedy-drama film Soul Food, which was released in 1997, he portrayed the role of Vanessa L. Williams’ adulterous husband.
On October 30th, 1963, Beach was born in Roxbury, which is located in the state of Massachusetts. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Juilliard School, where he studied throughout his whole academic career. In 1998, Beach wed Tracey Beach, and the couple remained married for a total of eight years before filing for divorce in 2006. The next year, he wed Elisha Wilson and they had their first child.
Between the years 1995 and 1997, he appeared on NBC’s medical drama ER in a recurring role as Al Boulet, the exe-husband of physician assistant Jeanie Boulet, played by Gloria Reuben. His performance aired on television. Beach played the role of FDNY paramedic Monte ‘Doc’ Parker in the NBC drama series Third Watch from 1999 through 2005.
