American journalist Matthew Nathan Drudge, is the founder and serves as editor of the Drudge Report. In addition to hosting radio and television shows, Drudge is also an author. Near Washington, D.C., in Takoma Park, Maryland, Drudge was raised.
When he was six years old, his mother and his father, Robert Drudge, a former social worker, got divorced. Drudge moved in with his mom. He was an ardent news reader and listener to radio discussion shows but had few pals. Drudge was the 341st out of 355 students to graduate from high school. Drudge claims in his book Drudge Manifesto that he “failed his Bar Mitzvah.”
He had odd jobs for many years, including night counterman at a 7-Eleven, Time-Life book salesperson, McDonald’s manager, and sales assistant at a New York City grocery shop.
According to a Business 2.0 magazine article from April 2003, Drudge’s website generated roughly $1.3 million in advertising revenue annually, or $3,500 per day. The magazine claimed that after deducting his very low server costs, the Drudge Report website made $800,000 annually. According to a September 2003 Miami Herald article, Drudge believes his website and radio show bring in $1.2 million annually. During a C-SPAN appearance on April 30, 2004, he acknowledged that he makes over $1 million annually.
Drudge formerly called Hollywood, California, home. He has two homes in Miami, Florida as of 2007: a $1.4 million stucco house with a Mediterranean design on Rivo Alto Island and a $1 million+ condo in the Four Seasons hotel. By the beginning of 2009, Drudge was making millions of dollars a year, taking lavish vacations, and relocating to another Miami home. In 2003, he claimed that, aside from travel, his Corvette was his one luxury.
