About Jwoww
Previous to her time on Jersey Shore, Farley ran her own graphic design company under the name Jenni Farley Designs, Inc. Farley made her first appearance on MTV’s Jersey Shore in December 2009, at the age of 23. The series followed her and seven other roommates as they spent the summer in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.
Farley went to high school at Columbia after being born in East Greenbush, New York. She went on to study at NYIT after that. Her first job out of college was as a nanny, so she had some experience with children before beginning her professional life.
While trying out for Jersey Shore, Farley made her home in Franklin Square, New York (on Long Island) for an entire year. In July of 2010, Farley presented her first collection, dubbed “Filthy Couture” in a Las Vegas fashion show. The brand stopped selling in October 2010 after only four months on the market because of an impending trademark lawsuit. As Farley put it, “the brand is not dead,” and a new collection will soon be introduced.
The Rules According to JWOWW: Shore-Tested Secrets on Landing a Mint Guy, Staying Fresh to Death, and Kicking the Competition to the Curb was published in 2010 and was written by her. A webpage dedicated to Farley was released in October of 2011.
In 2012, she was sued because her landlord claimed she filmed reality show episodes there without permission. Together with Nicole Polizzi, Farley starred in Snooki & JWoww, which premiered in the same year as their successful Jersey Shore series. Together with Polizzi and Jeff Dye, Farley hosted MTV’s 2013 Club New Year’s Eve special.
On the sixth season of Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition, which aired in 2015, Farley competed and ultimately won. Also, Farley played the girlfriend of a record executive in her first feature film, The Mint, which she also produced and directed. Her role as Snooki on Snooki & Jwoww: Moms with Attitude began in late 2015. And in October of that year, Farley and Roger Mathews tied the knot.
In 2018, Farley starred in Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, marking her return to the series. With irreconcilable differences as the reason, Farley filed for divorce in September of that year. Also during that year, she experienced difficulties with an ex-boyfriend. She told the police that Tom Lippolis, her ex-boyfriend and a cast member from the first few seasons of Jersey Shore, tried to extort $25,000 from her so that he wouldn’t reveal “her secrets” to the media. He was taken into custody for this offense in December of 2018, and a year later, she and Mathews finalized their divorce. As a birthday surprise for Farley, Zack Carpinello proposed to him atop the Empire State Building.
