About Bokeem Woodbine
In the film Spider-Man: Homecoming, which was produced by Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios and released in 2017, Woodbine played the role of Shocker, one of four antagonists. He shared this role with Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green, and Michael Chernus.
In 2018, Woodbine appeared as a main character in the television series Unsolved. His character, Daryn Dupree, was a member of a police task team that investigated the murders of rap artists Notorious BIG and Tupac Shakur, and he portrayed that role in the movie. In the 2021 film Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Woodbine portrayed the role of Sheriff Domingo.
He has spent his entire life training in many forms of martial arts, including Hapkido and Shaolin Kung-Fu. Woodbine was born on April 13th, 1973 in the city of Harlem, New York, in the United States. Before moving on to the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in the city, he had his elementary and secondary education at the Dalton School, which is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
In 1996, he made an appearance in Tupac Shakur’s music video for the song “I Ain’t Mad at Cha”. which led to the two of them becoming friends. After that, they appeared together in the first film that Vondie Curtis-Hall directed, titled Gridlock’d, which was released four months after Tupac Shakur passed away.
