About Priscilla Shirer
Priscilla Evans was raised in a Christian home and is the daughter of Tony Evans, senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas. She worked as an intern for a Christian radio station during her first year at the University of Houston. The station soon received calls from listeners asking Priscilla to speak at their Bible study groups and other gatherings.
Going Beyond Ministries was started by the Shirers and Priscilla as a speaking agency. The Shirers, who are the parents of three young boys, split their time between ministry and family duties. Jerry oversees Going Beyond Ministries’ other business operations while Priscilla continues to serve as a full-time minister.
Shirer was a first-year student at the University of Houston in 1993. Shirer wed former executive of Hilton Hotels Jerry Shirer in 1999. Three sons were born to the couple.
Shirer is an expert in her field and a Dallas Theological Seminary alumna with a Master’s in Biblical Studies. She is passionate about spreading the Gospel in general, which is one of my favorite things about her. Shirer supports all religious and cultural groups. Perhaps this explains why she is so well-known and well-liked all across the world. She has a big heart for helping and serving those around her in addition to having biblically sound understanding.
Her popular books include God is Able, Discerning the Voice of God, and Fervent: A Woman’s Battle Plan for Serious, Specific, and Strategic Prayer, which was named the 2016 Christian Book of the Year. She is also the author of two New York Times Bestsellers, The Resolution for Women and The Resolution for Women. Her most recent book, Awaken: 90 Days with the God Who Speaks, is a 365-day devotional.

These are difficult ideas to talk about, from prayer to hearing God’s voice, putting on the whole armour of Christ, and setting aside time for the Sabbath.
Priscilla and Jerry have been wed for 22 years. She spends the most of her time caring for their three growing boys, Jackson, Jerry Jr., and Jude, while balancing her studies and writing.
