About Nancy Grace
In addition to her show on Court TV, she began hosting a regularly primetime legal analysis show Nancy Grace on CNN Headline News (now HLN) in February of 2005. Grace made the announcement that she will be departing Court TV on May 9, 2007, so that she could devote more time to her CNN Headline News program and her volunteer work. The 19th of June, 2007 was the day of her final episode on Court TV.
Nancy Grace, the youngest of three children, was born in Macon, Georgia. Her parents, Elizabeth Grace, who worked in a factory, and Mac Grace, who worked as a freight agent for Southern Railway, were her parents. Her brother Mac Jr. and her sister Ginny are the two of her older siblings.
Grace has been recognized for her advocacy work on behalf of victims’ rights by a variety of organizations, including the Carole Sund-Carrington Foundation, Crime Victims United of California, and The Retreat, amongst many others. Nearly a decade of Grace’s career was spent as a Special Prosecutor in the office of the District Attorney for Atlanta-Fulton County, Georgia. Her work primarily entailed investigating criminal cases involving many instances of the same crime, such as multiple homicides, multiple rapes, multiple assaults on children, and several fires. After learning that the District Attorney she had been working for would not be seeking reelection, she decided to leave the office where she had been employed as a prosecutor.
Following her departure from the office of the Fulton County prosecutors, Grace was approached by the inventor of Court TV, Steven Brill, who extended an invitation for her to co-host a legal commentary show with Johnnie Cochran, which she accepted. Grace was reassigned to a solo trial coverage show on Court TV when Cochran departed the show.
She anchored Trial Heat from 1996 to 2004, and subsequently Closing Arguments from 2004 to 2007. Grace tied the knot with David Linch, an investment banker from Atlanta, in a low-key private ceremony in April of 2007. They were acquainted with one another in the 1970s while she was attending Mercer University.
In the season 8 finale of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, which aired on May 22, 2007, Grace had a guest starring role as herself opposite Star Jones. The episode was titled “Screwed”. In the film Hancock, which starred Will Smith, Grace made a brief appearance as a cameo in the year 2008.

Grace hosted her final show for the very last time on October 13, 2016, which marked the end of her contract. Injustice with Nancy Grace is the title of a new true crime series that premiered on the Oxygen TV channel on July 13, 2019.
