Joel Osteen is an American author, pastor, and televangelist. He began working as a senior pastor in the year of 1999 and since then has become of the most famous pastors in the United States. He was born on March 5, 1963, and is one of the six children of John and Dolores Osteen. His father was a Southern Baptist pastor who founded the Lakewood Church in the back of an old store. In the early 1980s, Joel graduated from the Humble High School in Humble, Texas. He then attended the Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Despite his passion to study radio and television communications, he dropped out and didn’t receive any degree from a seminary school.
