About Joe LaCava
After a contentious parting of ways with his previous bagman Steve Williams, who had been working for Tiger Woods for the previous 13 years, Joe LaCava began his employment for the golfer. LaCava, a man from Connecticut, joined Woods’ team after working with Dustin Johnson for four years, during which time he witnessed Johnson make steady progress up the rankings. However, prior to that, he had worked for Freddie Couples, who is a close buddy of Tiger Woods. .
He has remained true to Woods throughout the 15-time Major winner’s recovery from a vehicle accident in February that came dangerously close to ruining his career. Since his son has served as caddie at both the 2020 and 2021 PNC Championships, it is apparent that the two families have a good relationship.
