Delana Stevens has a firecracker personality. She knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid to work hard to make it happen. She started singing along with Dottie West, the Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, Wynonna and any other artist she would hear on the radio growing up in a small town in Wyoming.
In 2005, Stevens’ decided to put her music out on the Internet and see what happened. By May, she had over 160,000 download/plays on download.com. That got her name out, and late in 2005 she was signed to Mach Records, and was on her way.
Her first album, Welcome to My World, was released in January of 2007. She spent part of 2006 on the road to the different radio stations promoting her first single, “Welcome to My World” and the second single, “Say Hello to Heaven.” She filmed her first video for “Say Hello to Heaven” which deals with the pain of losing a loved one to a drunk driver and delivers a heartfelt message about drinking and driving and what it can do. That emotional video gained the attention of the viewing and listening audience.
