About David Jeremiah
In 1963, Jeremiah graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Cedarville College, and he also wed Donna Thompson, his college love. He later attended additional graduate education at Grace Seminary and received a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1967. In 1981, Cedarville awarded him an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree.
When the Jeremiah family relocated to Southern California in 1981 with four children, David Jeremiah took over as senior pastor at Scott Memorial Baptist Church in place of Tim LaHaye (now Shadow Mountain Community Church).
Jeremiah started the multi-platform broadcast ministry Turning Point for God in 1982. Turning Point’s radio and television program began with local influence, grew national influence through television by 2000, and has since become an international leader in the field of broadcast ministry with the goal of delivering the unchanging Word of God to an ever-changing world.
