American television writer, director, and producer Bradley Douglas Falchuk is best known for co-creating the comedy-drama series Glee with Ryan Murphy as well as the drama series Pose, the horror comedy Scream Queens, the horror-drama anthology series American Horror Story, and the spin-off American Horror Stories.
Jewish parents brought Falchuk into the world in Massachusetts. Nancy Falchuk, his mother, served as the Hadassah Women’s Zionist Organization of America’s national president from 2007 through 2011.
He made an effort to distinguish himself from his peers in high school by coming to class every day with a tie on. He also participated in basketball, lacrosse, and baseball. He claimed, “I was always trying to look clever because I didn’t feel smart,” but in reality, he had dyslexia that had gone undiagnosed. In 1993, he received his diplomas from William Smith and Hobart Colleges.
He was married to the actress Gwyneth Paltrow and served as both a writer and executive producer for the television program Nip/Tuck. In 2014, Falchuk started dating actress Paltrow, whom he had first met in 2010 while working on the Glee set. After months of rumors, the pair made their relationship known in April 2015 during a birthday party. Paltrow and Falchuk confirmed their engagement on January 8, 2018, in a statement. On September 29, 2018, they got married in The Hamptons on Long Island.
