About Andrew Mccollum
As well as serving in his present role as CEO of Philo, McCollum was one of the original founders of Facebook. Andrew McCollum was a cofounder of the online resume preparation tool JobSpice, which was also named after him. At both New Enterprise Associates and Flybridge Capital Partners, he is currently serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence.
Along with other founding team members, he studied at Harvard University, where he was classmates with Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg. Between the months of February 2004 and September 2007, he was employed by Facebook. In the beginning, he collaborated with Adam D’Angelo on the development of the file-sharing tool known as Wirehog. McCollum continued his education at Harvard College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and graduating in 2007. In subsequent years, he attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education and received a master’s degree in education from that institution.
McCollum was a member of the Harvard team that participated in the 31st Association for Computing Machinery International Collegiate Programming Contest in Tokyo. The Harvard team had finished in second place in the regional competitions, falling just behind the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
McCollum was named the new Chief Executive Officer of Philo on November 20, 2014, following Christopher Thorpe in the role. McCollum is a married man and his wife’s name is Gretchen Sisson.
