Famous televangelist Paula White in a best-selling Christian author, speaker and television personality. From 2014 to 2019, she was senior pastor of the New Destiny Christian Center. Born April 20, 1966 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Paula had a very challenging childhood. The family had very little money and her parents divorced. Soon after her father committed suicide and her mother became an alcoholic. Paula suffered both sexual and physical abuse between the ages of six and thirteen by different people on different occasions, according to Wiki. She has said that during that time she also suffered from bulimia. However her mother remarried and the family made a new start.
Paula converted to Christianity in 1984. She recounts that she experienced a vision that moved her toward spreading the word of God. This also kick-started her career and she began learning and teaching almost everyday. Soon after she met Randy White and they went on to found a church together, the Without Walls International Church. It started out as the South Tampa Christian Church and under the guidance of the Whites at the time, the congregation grew to more than 20,000 followers.

It was a long and happy marriage that lasted until their eventual divorce in 2007. Most recently, White married her boyfriend and popular rock musician Jonathan Cain in 2015.
