Famous televangelist Paula White in a best-selling Christian author, speaker and television personality. From 2014 to 2019, she was senior pastor of the New Destiny Christian Center. Through the teaching of the gospel, and the sale of books, tapes and events, Paula White has a net worth of at least $7 million dollars as of 2020.
Born April 20, 1966 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Paula had a very challenging childhood. The family had very little money and her parents divorced. Soon after her father committed suicide and her mother became an alcoholic. Paula suffered both sexual and physical abuse in her youth finally however her mother remarried and the family made a new start in Paula.
Paula converted to Christianity in 1984. She recounts that she experienced a vision that moved her toward spreading the word of God. This also kick-started her career and she began learning and teaching almost everyday. Soon after she met Randy White and they went on to found a church together, the Without Walls International Church. It started out as the South Tampa Christian Church and under the guidance of the Whites at the time, the congregation grew to more than 20,000 followers.
By 2001 she was beginning to establish herself as a televangelist, a Christian who teaches and spreads the message of God on TV. She had also begun to publish a number of books, many aimed at women for example, He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not: What Every Woman Needs to Know about Unconditional Love. As well as many more titles written in the early 2000s, like Birthing Your Dreams: God’s Plan for Living Victoriously, Simple Suggestions for a Sensational Life! and You’re All That!. Much of Paula’s net worth can be attributed to the sale of her books which often become best-sellers earning her a substantial fortune.
Paula White hosts a very popular show called “Paula White Today”, and continues to publish, speak and promote Jesus Christ.
Paula White is also the chair of the evangelical advisory board in Donald Trump‘s administration. On January 20, 2017, she delivered the invocation at Donald Trump’s inauguration becoming the first female clergy member to ever do so. In July 2017 the Orlando Magazine listed her at number 3 of the “50 Most Powerful 2017: Philanthropy & Community Voices”. In November 2019, Trump appointed White as special advisor to the Faith and Opportunity Initiative at the Office of Public Liaison.
Paula’s first husband was Dean Knight, she was just a teenager when she married the first time. In 1990, Paula married Randy White. It was a long and happy marriage that lasted until their eventual divorce in 2007. Most recently, White married her boyfriend and popular rock musician Jonathan Cain in 2015.
