Kevin Owens was born on May 7th, 1984 in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada. He discovered his passion for professional wrestling when he was only eleven, after watching a match between Shawn Michaels and Diesel at WrestleMania XI. Soon after with the help of his parents he was training with the wrestler Serge Jodoin. After that he progressed to train with Terry Taylor, Carl Ouellet and Jacques Rougeau.
Finally after training for many years Owens had his first professional match in 2000. For Ring of Honor, Owen used his birth name Kevin Steen early on in his wrestling career. He also wrestled in Combat Zone Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerilla and International Wrestling Syndicate before joining the WWE in 2014.
Kevin Owens has won the ROH World Tag Team Championship with El Generico (Sami Zayn), the CZW Iron Man Championship, the PWG World Championship the, PWG World Tag Team Championship and the PWG World Tag Team Championship.
Soon after entering the WWE he became the holder of the NXT Championship. He made his main roster entry to the WWE in 2015 and has since become a multi time WWE United States Champion, as well as a multi time WWE Intercontinental Champion and a one time WWE Universal Champion.
