How Did Jon Taffer Get So Rich?
Taffer entered the world of bar management in 1978 but he waited for his first own bar until 1989. It didn’t go well. Long story short, Taffer lost all his money he put in the partnership. No less than $600,000. He says it taught him a valuable lesson – that character of your business partner is at least as important as his entrepreneurial skills. We couldn’t agree more.
Jon learned his lesson and became later rich after all. His astronomical net worth is estimated to ben’t an accident. Taffer invented several neat features for his night clubs and bars that make them so popular. Probably most famous one is so called “butt funnel”. That’s a narrow entrance to the dance floor. The whole point is to increase human interaction.
Taffer slowly branched out to media. His show Bar Rescue started in 2011 on Spike channel and in 2013, Jon published his first book – Raise the Bar.
