Jah Cure was born on October 11th, 1978, in Hanover Parish, Jamaica as Siccature Alcock. After releasing the single King in this Jungle, the producer Beres Hammond became Jah’s mentor. Other singles followed and helped gaining an acclaim in the world of reggae music. In co-operation with Hammond and the Harmony House Family, Cure was a part of an European tour in 1998.

The prison he was transferred to had a recording studio and that kept Jah Cure kept working on his music.
