About Brittany Daniel
After graduating from high school, she was cast as Jessica Wakefield in the television series Sweet Valley High (her twin sister, Cynthia, played the role of Jessica’s twin sister, Elizabeth). The sisters made their screen debut in the drama film The Basketball Diaries (1995) opposite Leonardo DiCaprio during the duration of the television show Sweet Valley High.
Both Brittany and her identical twin sister, Cynthia, were born in Gainesville, Florida, on March 17, 1976. Their parents, Carolyn and Charlton Bradford (‘C.B.’) Daniel Jr., were their parents. They have an elder brother who goes by the name of Brad. By the time they were 11 years old, both girls had been discovered by the Ford Agency and had begun modeling. They were featured in the magazines Seventeen and YM. They were also known as the Doublemint Twins and appeared in advertisements for Doublemint gum.
After Sweet Valley High was canceled in 1997, Daniel continued her acting career in films and television series, including a recurring role on Dawson’s Creek in 1999 and a part in the TBS television movie On Hostile Ground the following year. Both of these roles were performed in the years that followed the cancellation of Sweet Valley High. In the film Joe Dirt, which came out in 2001, she played Brandy, the love interest of David Spade. Daniel was cast as one of the main characters in the 2002 season of the ill-fated Fox television series That ’80s Show.
On That ’70s Show, she made her debut as Penny, Eric Forman’s cousin, in the year 2002. Carmen was Daniel’s character on the episode of It is Always Sunny in Philadelphia in which guest starred as a transsexual lady. She worked closely with the Wayans Brothers on the production of their movies White Chicks (2004) and Little Man (2006).
In the same year, she made an appearance in the television movie Totally Awesome, which aired on VH1, before securing a starring role in the half-hour comedy The Game, which aired on The CW Television Network and in which she starred until 2011. Nevertheless, she would make her way back to the show in 2014. She was given a role in the Brothers Strause thriller Skyline in February of 2010, and the movie did not come out until November 12 of that same year.
Daniel disclosed in March 2014 that in 2011, she was given a diagnosis of stage IV non-lymphoma, Hodgkin’s and that she subsequently received chemotherapy to treat the condition. As of the year 2014, she was clear of cancer. From 2007 until 2014, she was in a relationship with actor Keenen Ivory Wayans. In the year 2017, she tied the knot with Adam Touni.
On October 24, 2021, Brittany gave birth to a baby whom she named Hope Rose Touni. Her sister Cynthia had contributed her egg for the pregnancy.
