About Ben Feldman
He played the role of guardian angel Fred on the television series Drop Dead Diva from 2009 until the beginning of the fourth season in 2011, when he decided to leave the show. He was cast as Michael Ginsberg on the AMC series Mad Men in April of 2012 and has been a regular since. In addition to his role as attorney Ron LaFlamme on HBO’s Silicon Valley from 2014–2019, he plays lead character Jonah Simms on NBC’s Superstore from 2015–2021. In the years 2019–2021, he was also responsible for the production of Superstore. He played the role of Tylor Tuskmon in the 2021 Disney film Monsters at Work.
Native Washingtonian Feldman made his acting debut at the age of 6 in a production of “Annie.” persuaded by a camp counselor. Feldman was an active member of the high school drama club and appeared in numerous productions throughout his time there. Each year, he also hosted the school’s “Blast from the Past.” presentation. From there, Feldman continued his education at Ithaca College, where he focused on acting. His mom is Marcia Muir Mitchell.
Robert “Bob” Feldman Sr. owns an advertising agency in Maryland, and he is the patriarch of Robert “Bob” Feldman Jr. Kris Feldman is his stepmother. Feldman was raised Jewish and went to both Orthodox and Conservative Jewish schools and synagogues. His sister, Morgan Leiter, is a fashion designer. Los Angeles chef Susan Feniger is his aunt through his stepmother.
From the age of six, he attended acting camp and participated in school productions. He was a 1998 graduate of Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Maryland. After completing his BFA in acting at Ithaca College in New York, he spent several summers working as a theater camp counselor and teaching a videography class in Bethesda.
When he finished school, he headed to New York City, where he made his Broadway debut, before making the journey west to pursue a career in Hollywood. Feldman is a resident of the Los Angeles area. When he proposed to Michelle Mulitz in 2012, she accepted. They tied the knot at Smokey Glen Farm in Gaithersburg, Maryland, on October 12, 2013. The couple’s children were born in October 2017 (a son) and May 2019 (a daughter).
