About Zhou Yifeng
Billionaire Chinese entrepreneur Zhou Yifeng established the Oriental Energy Company, which trades on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange under the symbol “OEC” and specializes in liquefied petroleum gas. As of 2023, his net worth was $1.1 billion, and he had earned degrees in traditional Chinese medicine from Beijing University.
Zhou Yifeng was born in the city of Guangzhou. Liquefied petroleum gas is imported and distributed by Zhou Yifeng’s Oriental Energy Co., which is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Zhou has degrees from both the Nanjing University of Science and Technology and the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
From 1965 through 1970, Zhou Qifeng attended Peking University as an undergraduate, and after graduating in 1970, he joined the faculty. After completing his PhD studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (where he attended from 1980 to 1983), he moved back to China to teach at Peking University.
