About Tony Leung Chiu Wai
In 1982, he received his diploma from the acting class offered by the television station TVB. TVB initially cast him as the host of a children’s program called 430 Space Shuttle due to his boyish appearance; nevertheless, they quickly transferred him to drama roles beginning with Soldier of Fortune (1982).
The Leung family is originally from Taishan, Guangdong, however Leung was born and raised in Hong Kong. Hidden Blade was a World War II spy thriller that was released in 2022 and starred Leung. The film was directed by Cheng Er and produced by Bona Film Group.
Leung is a Buddhist. His marriage was conducted in a Buddhist ceremony, he regularly attends Buddhist gatherings, and there have been reports of him doing Buddhist palm welcomes. He has also made donations to the building of Buddhist organizations.
