American entrepreneur Paul Fireman served as CEO of Reebok International, Ltd. for 26 years. As of 2023, Fireman has accumulated a net worth of $1.2 billion thanks to his sale of Reebok to Adidas in 2005. Paul Fireman’s birthplace is the city of Brookline in Massachusetts. As the 1980s aerobics fad spread, Paul Fireman bought the U.S. distribution rights to a small British shoe business and rebranded it as Reebok. During the early 1990s, Nike began to gain ground, prompting shareholders to call for Fireman’s resignation in 1996.
