How Did Midge Ure Get So Rich?
Midge Ure was born on October 10th, 1953, in Cambuslang, Lanarkshire. His parents weren’t rich at all, they lived with three children in one-bedroom flat for ten years. Ure studied at the Motherwell Technical College and then worked as an engineer. He began his music career in Stumble, a band from Glasgow.
Then he joined Salvation as a guitarist, the band later changed the name to Slik and then to PVC2. In 1977, Ure left the band and joined Rich Kids and moved to London. The band split but in 2016 they reformed for a joint headline show with The Professionals in June. Other bands where Ure performed are Visage, Thin Lizzy, Ultravox, and Band Aid.
