Carter Mullally, Jr., a Paramount contract player, and a model mother welcomed Megan Mullally into the world on November 12, 1958 in Los Angeles. Megan was bitten by an acting bug at a young age and studied ballet and acting for the rest of her life because her L.A. house was a breeding place for them. Summers were spent in Los Angeles, but when Megan turned seven, the family relocated to Oklahoma City. She studied English literature and art history at Northwestern University.
