Before we could say Look Who’s Talking, he was our favorite pelvic thrusting T-Bird as Danny Zuko in Grease. Before fading from view, he created Saturday Night Fever. He later made a triumphant comeback as a charismatic mobster with some impressive dancing routines. Whether playing a drug-addicted hitman, a singing and dancing Romeo, or a grounded pilot, John Travolta is a cultural icon.
Los Angeles Or Else
Salvatore Travolta, a tire dealer, and Helen Cecilia, an actress and singer, welcomed John Travolta into the world in Englewood, New Jersey in 1954. He traveled to New York City after high school to pursue a career in the arts and inherited his mother’s singing voice and love of performance. Travolta moved across the nation to try his luck in Hollywood after finding some success on Broadway.
With the 1976 horror film Carrie starring Sissy Spacek and the character of Vinnie Barbarino in the ’70s sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter, Travolta received his first significant break.

But when he played Vincent Vega in Quentin Tarantino‘s cult hit Pulp Fiction in 1994, his career was given a new lease on life. In addition to working with the illustrious Samuel L. Jackson, his performance earned him a second Academy Award nomination and brought him back into the public eye.
Since then, he has helped almost every movie he has worked on become a financial success at the box office, including Primary Colors, Face/Off, Get Shorty, Ladder 49, Wild Hogs, and the 2007 remake of Hairspray, for which he received a Golden Globe.

Off-screen, John enjoys flying and has a large collection of aircraft. He even went so far as to construct his own runway on the property he owns in Ocala, Florida.
In the wake of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, he made use of this by packing his Boeing 707 with goods and medical personnel and flying there.
Travolta and his wife, Kelly Preston, are no strangers to generosity and actively donate money to the Heroes Health Fund, which supports first responders’ access to top-notch healthcare, as well as the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund. Preston and Travolta were both in committed relationships when they first met on the set of The Experts in 1987; Preston was wed to actor Kevin Gage, and Travolta was seeing Marilu Henner. Person Of Tragedy
John had already experienced tragedy when his actress lover Diana Hyland passed away from breast cancer in 1977 while he was by her side. In January 2009, he also experienced another terrible loss. Jett, his firstborn child with Preston, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 16. In order to ring in the New Year, the family was on holiday in the Bahamas when Jett, who had Kawasaki Syndrome, experienced a severe seizure. Travolta was saddened by the loss of his son, who he previously referred to as “my first” and “my heart.” When Kelly Preston, his wife, passed away from breast cancer on July 12th, 2020, sadness struck once more.

But the couple, who already have a daughter, Ella (born April 2000), had another son, Benjamin, in November 2010. This is similar to how John has returned in the past.
