The formative years

As the team finished second in the Apertura, Pastore contributed to their best season in over 30 years. Huracan actually defeated River Plate 4-0 in a game in which Pastore scored twice, but they lost the championship to River Plate. Only a contentious officiating error during the club’s championship match versus Vélez Sarsfield prevented it from winning the title.
Pastore, however, received a bid from Palermo in January 2009 as a result of his achievements, and he moved that summer.
Major Effect in Italy
After Walter Zenga was fired, Pastore really found his footing in the second half of the Serie A season in 2009–10.
When it became known that the star of Palermo’s midfield, Fabio Simplicio, would be joining Roma on a free transfer the next summer, he had already established himself as a regular.
Pastore was chastised by Zenga of throwing the ball away excessively, but under Delio Rossi, Pastore’s performances significantly improved and he was instrumental in leading the Rosanero to a fifth-place finish in Serie A.
Buzzards were circling after his eleven Serie A goals and other standout performances the following season, but PSG ultimately prevailed in the race to capture him.
Worldwide Career
