Elizabeth I, who reigned over England and Ireland from 7 September 1533 to 24 March 1603, had an estimated net worth of $650 million. Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn had a child named Elizabeth. Henry VIII yearned bitterly for a son to succeed him as king. He was therefore devastated when Anne gave birth to Elizabeth. Elizabeth was removed from the line of succession to the throne after their marriage was ruled to be invalid.

Elizabeth’s father passed away in 1547, and when her brother Edward became King Edward VI, many members of high society saw her as a tool in politics. She had no children of her own, which saddened many Catholic churchgoers, especially after the drama that developed when she ascended to the throne and Mary was imprisoned. Questions about who would succeed her frequently appeared.

In total, Queen Elizabeth I ruled the United Kingdom for just over 44 years before passing away in late March of 1603. She was noted for her ostentatious look as well as for how she solicited comments on the ideas that she and Parliament advocated. She made sure that the necessary corrections were done when a policy was unfair. Numerous issues regarding her occurred both during her ascent to the throne and throughout her reign. However, in the political sphere, she was seen as a wise leader.
