About Alex Vincent
The first time he saw his next-door neighbor on television, he was 5 years old and it sparked an interest in acting in him. He went to his neighbor’s agency and got roles in various commercials. After competing against hundreds of other children in New York City and Los Angeles, and eventually two other children his age, he was cast as Andy Barclay in the 1988 film Child’s Play. Following his refusal to cuss out loud in front of his mother while reading some lines, he was offered the part. After acting as though he had forgotten the lines, he charmed the producers, who ultimately decided to cast him in the part.
Born on April 29, 1981 in Newark, New Jersey, Vincent spent his childhood in Maywood, also located in New Jersey. He received his high school diploma from Hackensack in the year 1999. In addition, Vincent received his education at the Full Sail University located in Winter Park, Florida.
He is best known for his performance as Andy Barclay in the Child’s Play franchise. He has portrayed the character in the films Child’s Play (1988), Child’s Play 2 (1990), Curse of Chucky (2013), and Cult of Chucky (2017), and will do so once more in the television series Chucky, which will premiere on the Syfy/USA Network in 2021. In Clearwater, Florida, where AV Productions is located, he is both the owner and producer of the recording studio and production company.
