Who Is Tate Stevens

Tate Stevens was born Stephen Eatinger on March 1, 1975, in Japan. Despite claiming he was born in Belton, Missouri, United States, this is not true. Tate Stevens’s father Steve Stevens was in the Air Force and stationed in Japan, this is where Tate was born.

From “The youngest of five children of an Air Force airman, he was born in Japan and soon moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, where his father played in a country band.”

Like his father, Tate started out singing in country bands. Then after graduation Stevens sung in the Dixie Cadillacs. It was the first of many country bands of which he would become a member. In the beginning he was performing with the Outlaw Junkies and his own Tate Stevens Band. As a man with a tough upbringing with very little money, he worked construction to make ends meet while furthering his career as a music artist.
