Skrillex is the professional name of Sonny John Moore. He is an American disc jockey (DJ), musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer who started his career in 2004. In the early stages of his career, the popular DJ was part of the post-hardcore group From First to Last with which he recorded two albums. His solo career kicked off in 2007 when he embarked on his first tour and supported other artists on their tours – All Time Low and The Rocket Summer to name a few.
Just before he came up with his stage name, using his real name, Sonny Moore released his first solo studio project in 2009. After the release of the EP Gypsyhook, he went on to produce four more. In early 2014, he released his only studio album titled Recess. The album was a success that debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 chart among many other international charts.
