Sia Furler was born on December 18th, 1975, in Adelaide, Australia. Her father is a musician and her mother, an art teacher. Sia started her musical career when she was about eighteen years old, singing in the acid jazz band titled Crisp. She released her debut studio album, OnlySee, in 1997.

In 2014, Sia amazed everyone with the release of her first solo album since 2010. Her song Chandelier from the album was an international hit. She went on to release This Is Acting in 2016 and Everyday Is Christmas in 2017.

Sia is known for her fluid sexual orientation, dating both men and women. She was in a relationship with musician JD Samson for three years. She then married to Erik Anders Lang, a documentary filmmaker, in August 2014. Sia is a vegan and a social activist, participating in PETA campaigns. She also supports the Oscar’s Law campaign against reckless pet breeding, the Beagle Freedom Project, and dog adoptions.
