Samuel James Champion was born on August 13, 1961 and is an American weather anchor with an estimated net worth of $10 million. Sam Champion is formerly co-anchored AMHQ: America’s Morning Headquarters and 23.5 Degrees With Sam Champion on The Weather Channel. Sam is not a meteorologist, but has learned everything about weather while on the job.
Sam graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. Since then, he’s worked across the country at a number of television stations, including those in Lexington, Kentucky; Jacksonville, Florida; and New York City.
Though not a talk show host per se, Samis Good Morning America’s weather anchor and weather correspondent, a position he took in September 2006. Since then, he has covered weather events across the country, including floods and ice storms in the South and Midwest.
Sam is heavily involved in volunteer programs including the Multiple Sclerosis Society, March of Dimes and the Gay and Lesbian Anti-Violence Project’s “Courage Awards”.
