About Rick Wolfe
Doctor Rick Wolfe is one of Australia’s most prominent eye surgeons and a pioneer in laser eye surgery. He gained even more publicity as a boyfriend and later husband of The Real Housewives of Melbourne star Gamble Breaux.
Rick earned his medical degree at Monash University. After that he served his surgical residency in several Melbourne hospitals. In 1991, he was one of the first eye doctors who performed laser eye surgery. He also mastered a modern procedure of cataract surgery called phacoemulsification.
Rick has earned his money in the medial practice. Pioneering a foldable intraocular implant and micro-incision cataract surgery, among other inventions, and patenting them is one of the main sources of his income.
Today, Wolfe works as a director of Peninsula Eye Centre, which he founded. Being a legend among ophthalmologists, Doctor Wolfe spends a lot of his time teaching and lecturing.
