Michael Che, whose full name is Michael Che Campbell, is an American actor, stand-up comedian, and writer. He’s best known for working on Saturday Night Live where he does stand-up comedy whilst also being the co-head writer and co-anchor on Weekend Update. Besides that, he was a brief correspondent on Jon Stewards’s Tonight Show and alongside Collin Jost, he recently hosted the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards.
Michael Che became famous after he began his career in the late 2000s and joined SNL. He was born on May 19, 1983, in New York City. He’s the youngest of seven children to Nathaniel and Rose Campbell.
His father worked as a history buff and named Michael after the revolutionary Che Guevara. Alongside his older brothers and sisters, he was raised on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. He attended the Floral LaGuardia High School where he studied arts, music, and performing arts.
