About Marcos Ambrose
Australian retired racing driver Marcos Ambrose was born on September 1, 1976, and his estimated net worth is $25 million. In 2003 and 2004, Ambrose won the Australian V8 Supercar Series championship. Ambrose moved to the US in 2006 to pursue his passion for NASCAR racing, beginning with the Camping World Truck Series.
At the age of ten, Marcos Ambrose began competing on the Australian karting circuit. Before winning the Australian Karting Championship while still a teen, he was successful in the karts, winning numerous races and state championships.
From there, he had the chance to expand the scope of his racing career. He first competed in the V8 Supercar series, where he earned the rookie of the year award in 2001 before going on to win the title in 2003 and again in 2004. He won the British Formula Ford championship in 1999.
Then Marcos Ambrose decided to move to America in order to enter NASCAR.
In 2006, he signed a contract with truck owner Tad Geschickter for a full-time Camping World Truck Series ride. He achieved a pole and two top five finishes despite missing the first three races of the season, which helped him finish twenty-first in the points.
Owner Tad Geschickter decided that was sufficient justification to promote Ambrose to the Nationwide Series the following year. In 2007 and 2008, Ambrose completed the whole Nationwide Series program. The most notable event of these years was Marcos Ambrose’s first NASCAR victory of his racing career, which occurred in 2008 on the Watkins Glen road circuit.
Ambrose quit the Nationwide Series in 2008 after JTG-Daugherty Racing offered him a full-time Sprint Cup Series seat. Ambrose had six top-five results while driving for JTG-Daugherty Racing before getting the chance to start the 2011 season with Richard Petty Motorsports.
Ambrose did well after upgrading to somewhat more powerful machinery, and he won his first Sprint Cup series race that summer at Watkins Glen. The following year, he triumphed once more in Watkins Glen.
Although Marcos Ambrose hasn’t exactly lit up the NASCAR world, I don’t think he has ever had top-notch machinery. He makes the most of his car’s capabilities and, more often than not, returns it to the garage at the end of the day in good condition.

Rookie Season
To exhaust his NASCAR Sprint Cup rookie eligibility in 2008, Marcos Ambrose competed in eleven races for a variety of different car owners, including the Wood Brothers and Michael Waltrip.
It is not surprising that Ambrose’s best finish in 2008 was at Watkins Glen when he recorded a season-high third place effort since he first entered NASCAR as a specialist in road racing.
