The fashion designer became famous after he began working for Louis Vuitton. He was born on April 9, 1963, in New York City, New York. His father worked as an agent at the William Morris Agency and he died when he was seven years old. Jacobs was raised mainly by his mother until his teenage years when he moved to Central Park West with his grandmother. He attended the Teaneck High School in New Jersey.
