Luis Guzmán was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico and is a popular actor. He starred in the films Carlito’s Way (1993), Boogie Nights (1997), Out of Sight (1998), Snake Eyes (1998), The Limey (1999), Magnolia (1999), Traffic (2000), Punch-Drunk Love (2002), Welcome to Collinwood (2002).
He has also had starring roles in the television series Oz, John From Cincinatti and How To Make It In America.
Guzman collaborates frequently with Steven Soderbergh. They initially worked together on the 1998 crime movie Out of Sight, in which Guzman portrayed Chino, an imprisoned crook. Guzman played Eduardo Roel, a friend of the missing girl that the title character is looking for, in Soderbergh’s subsequent movie The Limery (1999). In Soderbergh’s upcoming movie Traffic, he portrays Drug Enforcement Agency Agent Ray Castro (2000).
