In 2009, Kevin and his wife Caitlin Feige purchased a luxuriously appointed 4,000-square-foot house in a prime Pacific Palisade for $3.175 million. In 2014 they purchased another property just a few miles away, a 9,000-plus-square-foot mansion in an even swankier neighborhood for $9.425 million. The listing describes the newly built property as Nantucket in style and set tightly on a one-third acre mid-block lot. In total it has seven bedrooms and eight full and two half bathrooms on three floors. Feige was raised in Westfield, New Jersey where he and his family moved when he was four years old. There, he attended the Westfield High School, from which he graduated in early 1991. His maternal grandfather is Robert Short, was a television producer from the 1950s who worked on many soap operas, including As the World Turns (1956) and The Guiding Light (1952). This was likely Feige’s closest contact to the film business and also likely caused a light switch to go on for him.
After his graduation from high school, he moved to California and applied to the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts.
