Kelly Cherelle Price was born on April 4, 1973 and is an American R&B and gospel singer and songwriter with an estimated net worth of $3 million. Her early years in the music business were spent mostly behind the scenes. She was providing backing vocals to records by stars, including Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Faith Evans and Brian McKnight. She was also the featured voice on the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Mo Money, Mo Problems” and Ma$e’s “Feels So Good.” Price also appeared on Puff Daddy’s No Way Out album (1997) and was also part of Puffy’s subsequent tour.
Price released her debut album, Soul of a Woman, in 1998 on Island Records. The hit single “Friend of Mine” became very popular, as well as the “Friend of Mine” remix.
