Fitch was able to defeat top-tier UFC competitors like Thiago Alves (by TKO and later by decision after the streak), Diego Sanchez (by split decision), and Josh Burkman during the run (rear naked choke).
Fitch is technically sound on his feet, has strong defense against submission attempts, and has submission abilities that beyond expectations. But in actuality, his strength as a fighter is that he works as hard as anyone. Simply put, he uses his superior wrestling abilities, physique, and cardio in the welterweight division to weaken opponents’ resolve. Fitch is a nightmare to ground and pound.
