Hugh Michael Horace Dancy was born on June 19th, 1975, in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK. He was interested in acting from an early age, playing in the Twelfth Night production by the Winchester College Players when he was 18. He then studied English at St Peter’s College, Oxford.
