17 Creepy Horror Movie Tattoos To Get You In The Halloween Spirit

Getting a horror movie tattoo is definitely the best way to showcase what a super fan you are of the genre. It is also a great way to let others know that you’ve got a dark side to you. The best part about horror movie tattoos though, other than coming in a wide variety of shapes, styles, and sizes is that they always get us in the Halloween spirit. That’s especially true of these horrifyingly great horror movie tattoos.

Binge Worthy

1. Chucky from Child’s Play

This little psycho was the reason I didn’t trust my Barbies when I was growing up. Alas, I’ve realized that if you’re going to have a killer coming after you, it’s best that it’s a pint-sized doll with a sarcastic sense of humor. It makes it all the more fun, right?
This Child’s Play fan wasn’t messing around by putting their favorite killer in their weapon of choice.

2. Tiffany from Bride of Chucky

Glam and murder don’t go together enough but honey, it was perfectly blended into one when our boy, Chucky, got a love interest in 1998. Tiffany, voiced by the ever-so seducting Jennifer Tilly, was your dream come true and nightmare all at the same time.
Also, can we talk about her fashion? Get. It. Girl. We love that this fan showcased her signature leather jacket.

3. The Babadook

Not that many people knew about this horror movie before this year but that all changed because Netflix went ahead and listed The Babadook under the LGBTQ movies genre and the internet caught wind. Soon after, Babadook was no longer an icon of horror, but a gay one. While this tat isn’t showcasing Baba’s new found pride, we can forgive as long as they add Baba’s new bae. None other than Pennywise from It!

4. Pennywise from It

Well what do you know, here we have the creepiest Pennywise tattoo probably of all time. Only this isn’t the Tim Curry one, but rather the 2017 version played creepily by Bill Skarsgård. The movie hasn’t been out that long but the new It has already inspired a horror movie tattoo of it’s own.

5. Poltergeist and It Combo

Okay, we get it — this person is a huge horror movie fan! But we couldn’t get away with just including the new version of Pennywise, so here is Tim Curry‘s version, along with a bonus of the little girl from The Poltergeist. That movie made us scared of our TV sets for months after watching. How dare a film do such a thing!

6. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes

Old school horror movies have a lot of tattoos out there, but we absolutely love this one because this is definitely not one you see every day. We only wish they kind of gotten the cute ’90s cartoon version instead…

7. “REDRUM” from The Shining

“Redrum” is a word that could instill fear in anyone — whether you fully understood what it meant or not. Maybe it was just me, but I didn’t realize until I was a grown woman that “redrum” was just murder spelled backward. Just me? I thought it may have been. Well, we can move on now I guess…

8. Hannibal from Silence of the Lambs

Anthony Hopkins could play Santa Claus and we still wouldn’t be able to forget his sadistic role in Silence of the Lambs. Based on a myriad of real-life serial killers including Ted Bundy and Ed Gein, Hopkins’ Hannibal haunted us for years. So we’re not really sure what to think of this ink, but for some sick reason, we want to watch that movie now.

9. Freddy Krueger’s Hand

If we were to consider Chucky an annoying cousin with a vendetta, then we would have to assume Freddy Krueger was his father. As humorous as he was dangerous, that dude kept us awake for years and for good reason. We assume the same can be said of this Freddy fan who has a bedtime reminder (or lack thereof) on them forever.

10. Texas Chainsaw Massacre

We aren’t too surprised that this fan didn’t get Leatherface on their body because that dude was not a looker, but we do love their simplistic homage to their favorite horror movie by way of a sweet chainsaw complete with a little blood. The artwork is more cartoonish than it is realistic, and that just adds a little extra ~something~ to the tattoo as a whole.

11. Pinhead from Hellraiser

While that Texas Chainsaw one was simple, this next one of Pinhead was detailed as could be. Just think about the length of pain this horror fan had to endure! We’re in love with not only how much work went into Mr. Pinhead here, but that awesome geometric design that surrounds the piece. Pretty sick.

12. Captain Spaulding from House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects

We’re just going to go ahead and assume this person is a HUGE Rob Zombie fan since they went and got one of the characters from his movies. At any rate, maybe this person just loves vulgar clowns. Tbh, this tattoo just might give me nightmares.

13. Donnie Darko

In my opinion, Donnie Darko is less a horror movie and more like a “WTF is going on” film because really, it’s got some confusing elements. That aside, it has a fanbase like no other and all of them would just adore this girl’s bomb Donnie ink.

14. Scream

Not all horror movie tattoos have to be scary. In fact, just look at this Scream one and a couple of more that are about to follow this little cutie pie. Ah, almost makes you forget he’s a raging psycho because this take on him looks so snuggly!

15. Jason from Friday the 13th

See, told you we had more sweet ones coming up. At the end of the day, isn’t Jason just a dude who loves his mom a little too much? No? Okay. We understand for not agreeing with that. Still though, adorable tattoo perfect for those of you looking to get some ink on this upcoming Friday the 13th.

16. The Whole Gang

When you can’t decide on which horror movie tattoo to get, get all of your favorites wrapped up into one masterpiece! I spy Friday the Thirteenth, Scream, A Nightmare on Elm Street at first glance — but what do you see?

What do you think?
