Herman Cain was an American activist, author, businessman, and former radio personality that was part of the Tea Party movement. His career began in the late 1970s just after he earned a master’s degree at the Purdue University. Over the course of his career, he was a chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Omaha, and the National Restaurant Association among others.

He’s the son of Luther, a farm worker turned into a janitor and barber, and Lenora Cain, a cleaning woman and a domestic worker. His father also worked as the chauffeur for the president fo The Coca Cola Company, Robert W. Woodruff. Herman’s family moved to Atlanta when he was young. He grew up in the west side of the city and attended the S.H. Archer High School.
