About Gemma Godfrey
Entrepreneur and investor Gemma Godfrey is the CEO of Moola. It’s an innovative mobile application that has (among other things) the aim to become the best app for stock trading, for beginners and amateurs alike. According to it’s creators, Moola should help you grow your capital and take control of your savings and investments at the same time.

How did Gemma make it mainstream?
Gemma has a college degree in Quantum Physics from University of Leeds where she graduated in 2004. But during her studies, Godfrey already focused her efforts on investing as well. She gained an internship at Goldman Sachs, a very well respected investment banking company. Later, she worked as a fund manager at GAM. Currently, Godfrey is a board member at California Lutheran University and money expert for several stations, such as BBC and Sky News.
In 2015, Gemma decided that among all stock trading apps there is still place for a low-cost and easy-to-use one, which is why she started Moola. Traditional online brokers face tough competition with this new type of mobile applications. Moola has the ambition to become a leading investment application for those who know little about investing, or don’t have large sums to invest.
Gemma married film producer Wayne Marc Godfrey in 2010. In her free time, she enjoys yoga and spending time with her family. In 2017, Godfrey joined the cast of reality TV show The New Celebrity Apprentice. She’ll be one of several business advisers on the series who will train contestants in various skills, and her impressive resume makes her the perfect fit for the job.
