Gaspard Ulliel started acting when he was only eleven years old, working in French television. He had his first film role in Marina De Van’s “Alias” (1988). In 2001, he was cast in a small but prominent role in the international hit Brotherhood of the Wolf.” In 2003, he was nominated for a Most Promising Actor for the role of Michael Blanc in “Embrassez qui vous voudrez,” playing a teenager driven mad by his hormones. He stars opposite Emmanuelle Beart in André Téchiné’s “Strayed” playing Yvan, a mysterious drifter who shares a romantic idyll with Beart in the French countryside during World War Two.
