In 1994, he moved back to Nashville and was hired as a staff composer at Orbison’s Still Working Hard Music. He also shoveled gravel onto roads, parked vehicles at the Hermitage Hotel, and worked for a gardener to make ends meet, but music was remained his passion.
Eric discovered that every label he went to wanted a guy wearing a cowboy hat, buckle, and boots. Eric said he was “a guitar slinger.” and couldn’t pull that off.
