About Devin Booker
Living with his mother, who is reputedly of Mexican and Puerto Rican origin, Booker was born and reared in Grand Rapids. While his African-American father played basketball professionally abroad, he was raised by his mother. Throughout the summer, he frequently went to see his father. He played one-on-one with Danilo Gallinari when he was 12 years old and visited him in Milan.
Booker has his own philanthropic organization, the Starting Five, which awards $100,000 to five nonprofit groups each and intends to donate $500,000 to nonprofits in Phoenix over the course of five years. For $3.5 million in 2019, Booker purchased a 5,590 square foot home in Paradise Valley, Arizona.
Booker scored more points than all of his teammates combined in his team’s 52-32 loss to Gulfport High School in their fifth game of the season (15). In December, he beat Harrison Central High School with a buzzer-beater from just outside half court, bringing Moss Point’s record for the year up to 4-6.
On November 2, 2014, Booker scored 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including two three-pointers, in Kentucky’s first exhibition game against the University of Pikeville. He also had three assists.
For his junior year, Booker converted to point guard because the majority of Moss Point’s seasoned players had graduated.

Booker attended the CP3 Elite Guard Camp, the LeBron James Skills Academy, the Kevin Durant Skills Academy, and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) Top 100 camp in the summer of 2013.
The other campers at the NBPA camp selected him for the 10-man all-star squad. Booker competed in the Nike Global Challenge against competitors from around the world. He took first place in the three-point shooting competition at the Under Armour Elite 24 showcase. Booker reduced the number of colleges on his list to Florida, Missouri, Michigan, Michigan State, and Kentucky in August 2013. In a 98-92 loss against the Brooklyn Nets on November 6, 2017, Booker scored 18 points to achieve 3,000 career points and becoming the fourth-youngest player in NBA history to do so, behind LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Carmelo Anthony.
On November 13, he tied Steve Nash for the 15th most points in team history with a 36-point performance and his 26th 30-point game. Booker had seven 30-point outings in the Suns’ first 17 games of the season. In a 115-101 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on December 4, Booker recorded a season-high 46 points.
On July 7, 2018, Booker and the Suns agreed to a five-year, $158 million deal extension. On February 25, he scored 20 points to help the Suns defeat the Miami Heat 124-121, snapping a franchise-record 17-game losing streak. On March 25, he contributed 59 points to a Utah Jazz defeat of 125-92. On March 27, he became the youngest player in NBA history to have consecutive 50-point games as he scored 50 points in a 124-121 loss to the Wizards. He also became the first player in the history of the franchise to play 50 consecutive games. Booker suffered a left ankle sprain in a 118-97 loss to the Jazz on April 3, keeping him out of the last three games of the season.
In a 100-98 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 23, 2019, Booker nearly recorded a triple-double with 35 points, a career-high 12 rebounds, and 9 assists. Booker scored over 30 points in seven consecutive games from December 27, 2019 to January 7, 2020, including a 40-point effort in a defeat to the Memphis Grizzlies on January 5.
