Dawn Angeliqué Richard, an American singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, model, and animator, was born on August 5, 1983. Her estimated net worth is $3 million. Creole and Haitian-born Dawn Richard was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her mother operated a dance performance school, and her father, Frank Richard, was the main singer and percussionist for the 1970s soul/funk band Chocolate Milk.
Dawn shown a talent for writing, composing, and singing music and understood from an early age that she wanted to be a performer. At her mother’s school, she spent a large portion of her childhood honing her choreography and dancing abilities. Dawn was a talented athlete who won state bowling and high school basketball championships. She also gave local performances at about the same time, initially with a group named Realiti and then on her own as Dawn Angelique.
