Rapper Shante Scott Franklin is better known under his stage name, Curren$y. He also runs his own record label called Jet Life Recordings. While most of his mixtapes and albums were released around 2010, he has stayed active releasing Collection Agency (2021). In the 2010s Curren$y released, Pilot Talk (2010), The Alchemist Covert Coup (2011), The Stoned Immaculate (2012), among others. Curren$y was born April 4, 1981 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was originally part of a Lil Wayne’s label Young Money Entertainment. In 2011, Curren$y started his own label Jet Life Recordings. Some of the artists he has under his label, are Young Roddy, Smoke DZA, and Fiend.
In 2009, Curren$y released his debut studio album titled This Ain’t No Mixtape. Other like Pilot Talk and Weekend at Burnie’s followed. He also collaborates with other hip hop artists, such as Jet Life, The Alchemist, and Wiz Khalifa.
He enjoys luxury cars and owns a Ferrari 360 Modena. However he may have since sold it.
